This lion figure is appearing on coats of arms of Czech rulers, and later on the emblem of the Czech state. Today, the notion of Czech lion means "silver double-tailed lion rampant with a golden crown and golden arms", which as a symbol of Bohemia (sometimes represented by all countries of the Czech Crown) occurs between 13 century.
