On Saturday, March 14th, we took a trip to Kladruby Monastery, founded in the 12th Century by Prince Vladislav I, whose remains lie in the church. Over the centuries, due to war and conflicts, the monastery has changed through reconstructions and additions. The newest section of the structure dates to the 18th century having been integrated with older sections. The incredibly ornate interior of the church added to the sheer size makes this monastery well worth seeing. Informative tours are offered there.
